British construction output dips 1.1 percent in May
(MENAFN) The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said that Britain's construction industry output was forecasted to fall 1.1 percent in May compared to April, in which it rose 1.2 percent, Xinhua reported.
Data showed that both work and repair and maintenance fell by 1.1 percent in May, data showed, however, compared with May 2013, output in the construction sector increased 3.5 percent.
New work in housing contributed the biggest amount to the increase in all new work compared with May 2013, with both public and private housing seeing substantial jumps of 29.3 percent and 16.8 percent, respectively.
