Japan posts current account surplus for the 4th month in May
(MENAFN) The Japanese Finance Ministry officials said that the country has posted a current account surplus for the fourth straight month in May, QNA reported.
The surplus reached USD5.1 billion in May, showing a decline of 7.7 percent from the same period last year, the officials added.
Meanwhile, the trade deficit for May stood at USD6.6 billion, but the primary income account, which measures the country's overseas investment earnings, had a surplus of USD14.5 billion.
