Philippine personal remittances rose 5.2 percent in April
(MENAFN) The Philippine central bank said personal remittances, which are made up of cash and non-cash items, increased 5.2 percent in April amid continuous demand for Filipinos abroad, Xinhua reported.
The figure summed up to USD2.12 billion in April, while the four-month score amounted to USD8.21 billion, according to the bank.
"The sustained growth in personal remittances was due mainly to the steady increase in remittance flows from both land-based workers and sea-based and land-based workers," the central bank said.
