Slovenia's GDP records 1.9 percent in Q1
(MENAFN) According to preliminary economic data by the Statistics Office, Slovenia's gross domestic product (GDP) recorded 1.9 percent in the January-March period, Xinhua reported.
The latest GDP data was down by 0.3 percent compared with the fourth quarter of 2013, but expanded 1.5 percent on annual basis, driven mainly by rising exports.
The country's export grew by 4.7 percent, led by the growth of external demand of electrical devices and motor vehicles, according to an expert of the Statistics Office.
The International Monetary Fund expected that Slovenia's GDP growth will increase in April from 0.3 percent this year to 0.9 percent by 2015.
