BlackBerry introduces Z3 in Indonesia

(MENAFN) BlackBerry announced launching a new budget handset in Indonesia, one step closer to the already suffering smartphone maker to compete with Samsung and Apple, its rivals, Khaleej Times reported. BlackBerry's Z3 is designed for Indonesia, one of its last bastions, but most probably will be introduced in other emerging markets later. The device is the first to be produced from the partnership of the Canadian firm and the Taiwanese Foxconn, the tech giant which makes devices for Apple, and is a key test of whether the new strategy will work. BlackBerry believes the device will be a great success in Indonesia, where many have remained loyal to the firm. "This product will deliver something that should resonate with consumers." the company's spokesman said.
