Jobless rate in Netherlands falls in March

(MENAFN) Unemployment in the Netherlands dropped 7,000 to a total of 684,000 people last month, Xinhua reported. The unemployment rate in the country dropped from 8.8 percent of the labor force in February, to 8.7 percent in March. The current drop in the jobless rate was due to people withdrawing from the labor market, and not because more people found work. The unemployment rate increased in the first quarter and was almost entirely attributable to women aged 25 years and older.
