EU helps Ukraine with USD1.4 b loan


(MENAFN) The European Union said it will help Ukraine's interim authorities with USD1.381 billion loan to improve its economy and financial status, according to the Daily Star. EU foreign ministers have also agreed on their plan to lower customs duties on Ukrainian goods that could save the country almost USD 690.55 million annually. The USD1.4 billion loan aims to help Ukraine cover its balance-of-payments needs and will be added to USD842.47million loan of aid that has been approved but not yet disbursed.
