Spain needs to invest USD 8.3b to repair roads

(MENAFN) According to a published study by the National Road Association (AEC), Spain's road network is facing an unprecedented state of degradation, Xinhua reported

The study described the road condition in Spain as "deficient" and in many cases close to be categorized as "very deficient", stating that they are having the worst condition since 1985.

The AEC says roads need about USD 8.6 million to be spent on the whole process of repairing all the damaged signs, markings, road surfaces and crash barriers.

Road authorities in Spain said that 94 percent of the amount should be dedicated to resurfacing, while replacing 330,000 road signs and repainting 52,000 kilometers of road markings is needed
