Huawei employs 100 Saudis annually under TVTC deal


(MENAFN-Arab News) technical and vocational training corporation (tvtc) has inked an agreement with huawei on cloud training for saudi graduates under tvtc program to improve their itc capacity

Under the renewable five-year agreement signed at the college of technology and information (cti) qualified applicants will undergo training here and in china. there are now 200 applicants under evaluation for the first year contract

Huawei will employ 100 graduates from this training every year at huawei and in five years there will be a total of 500 graduates to be absorbed by huawei as employees

Tvtc gov. ali al-ghafees signed the accord with charles liwei huawei vp in the mena in the presence of chinese ambassador to saudi arabia li chengwen

'the agreement between tvtc and huawei would help saudi youth who are ready to take part in the development and qualify them with special training for a job opportunity" said al-ghafees at the signing ceremony

He added: 'we look forward to the world-class itc companies such as huawei that would provide our young saudis with high and professional qualification that would help them compete and benefit from the international experience." this is part of the tvtc joint program concluded with various firms and educational institutions in different professions

The new strategic partnership that will see the two organizations collaborate on a variety of academic programs aimed at providing students in saudi arabia with access to the world-class labs experts and work experience opportunities in the technology field following the successful deployment of the first phase of huawei's fusionaccess solution a cloud virtual desktop infrastructure (vdi) system offering greater educational resources for students and training instructors. huawei will be responsible for the enormous roll out of 13200 huawei's fusionaccess points across 35 of tvtc's training colleges. while the solution has already created an online learning environment for nearly 600 students and instructors.
