Philippine imports down 0.67 percent in 2013


(MENAFN) The Philippine National Statistics Office (NSO) said that the country's imports last year decreased due to lower purchases of electronic products and fuel, Xinhua reported



The country's imports hit USD61.71 billion during the year, logging a 0.67 percent drop when compared to the year before it, the NSO said



Imports during December came at USD5.3 billion, decreasing 0.1 percent from the corresponding month a year earlier



NSO data reveal that Philippine imports of electronic products went down 4.72 percent year-on-year to USD15.43 billion
