Carry Over, Daniel clinch awards in Almarai Sunday League

(MENAFN-Arab News) Defending champion Carry Over and Jun Daniel took center stage as the Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week during the 16th session in the Almarai-FBGR Sunday Bowling League 13th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center here.

Almarai Company sponsored the tournament organized by Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR)

Carry Over, mentored by Lady Lulu Quejada, zeroed Sweet Angel Vipers of Angel Caasi 4-0 (24-11 points), with Mohamad Al-Masri at the forefront by hitting 905.

Supporting Al-Masri were Rodel Maranca 858, HRH MS 800, Quejada 778 and Celis Viloria 676 points. Top scorer for the losing team was Nelson Respicio 838 followed by Koko Torres 821 and Fernie Ballano 778, while Glenn Dela Cruz had 573, Jun Balubayan 467 in and Ruel Pingol 370

Daniel led by example at Almarai, shooting a Bowler of the Week award-clinching series of 966 while leading his team to a 22-18 points victory over Thales of Ryan Iñigo

Daniel carded scratch games of 226, 198, 192 and 214. He was supported by Alex Armada 862, Doy Del Moral 823, Fhel Ramos 794 and Joel Batolina 690 points respectively. Cheng Lambo led Thales by scoring 909 points. Iñigo added 875, Boy Mirando 805, Maeng Viloria 789, Ramon Chua 409 and Nelson De Vera 388

RG512 for Clothes mentored by Yasser Mohammed demolished IBG Storm of Ric Singson 20-15. Carrying the load for RG512 were Edgar Buenaventura 855, Ahmad Al-Qarquosh 854 and Resty De Jesus 771. Shakur Kamlian tossed in 575, Rasheed Rasheidan had 537, Mohamed 228 and Noel Marquez 166. The losing team was led by Zaldy Torres 841, Ric Singson 816, Arnold Jesena 773, Marvin Arocena 735, Rey Bautista 397 and Thong Asuncion 340 points



In another match, Team Irene guided by Dhong Yamco edged Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad 15-13. Spearheading the winning team were Vicky Vitug 829, Dee Urbano 783, Shawn Ricketts 767, Jao Urbano 706 and Stephen Solomon 666 points. Alsalam scorers were Bandar Al-Marshad 836, Rollie Cleofe 806, Alfred Valencia 762, Efren Abuyo 632, Lito Vega 395 and Mario Rivera 392.

In other matches, Nadec Strokers captained by Lope Ramirez blanked Proshop of Ric Urrutia 4-0 (21-2), FBGR Selection mentored by Mike Ecalnir beat Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed 18-8 and current No. 1 United Global of Jeff Nierva defeated second ranked Look Up Boys mentored by Ronald Bautista 21-15
