China to further support solar power industry
(MENAFN) China is planning to further support its solar power industry as the government is aiming to revive a sector hamstrung with overcapacity and falling prices, The Peninsula reported.
The State Council said that the country will more than quadruple solar power generating capacity to 35 gigawatts by 2015.
The State Council said in a statement published on its website that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is to "promote the healthy development of the photovoltaic industry".
