Toyota ordered to recall 11,000 cars in South Korea

(MENAFN) The South Korean transportation ministry said that Japan's Toyota Motor has been ordered to pull 11,000 cars in the country because of a defect in the air-conditioning system, Xinhua reported. The defect causes water produced by the radiator to flow into the airbag system, which causes malfunction in the airbags and the steering wheel. A total of 11,507 cars sold in South Korea are to be recalled. Of the total, 10,961 three models of passenger vehicles will be recalled and an additional 546 compact utility vehicles, all manufactured in the period between October 20, 2011 and May 16, 2013.
