Lao Airlines receives USD4 m plane crash compensation


(MENAFN) Lao-Viet Insurance Company (LVI) paid USD4 million to Lao Airlines as compensation for the Airline's crashed aircraft, Xinhuanet reported. The plane, an ATR 72-600, crashed into the Mekong in October near the Pakse International Airport. LVI Director General said that the victims of the crash will be compensated as well. An initial USD5,000 was paid to the families of each victim.
