Wataniya posts small earning drop in Q3

(MENAFN) Kuwait's telecom operator, Wataniya, posted a small fall in net profit in the July-September period of this year, Arabian Business reported. The company's net earnings fell to USD54.43 million, down from USD55 million in the corresponding period last year. In the year's first nine months, net profit dropped from USD222.8 million to USD204.4 million. Last October, Qatar's Ooredoo raised its stake in Wataniya from 52.5 percent to 91.1 percent for USD1.8 billion.
