WTI crude falls a third day on US situation
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) West Texas Intermediate slid for a third day as part of the US government shut down over a budget stalemate, threatening to slow the economy and reduce demand in the world's largest oil consumer.
Futures dropped as much as 0.7 per cent after a 4.9 per cent loss last month. WTI for November delivery fell as much as 73 cents to $101.60 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, and was at $101.75 at 1:50pm London time. The contract decreased 0.5 per cent to $102.33 on Monday.
