Torika starts Greece financial accounts audit


(MENAFN) Greece demanded from international creditors not to implement more austerity measures as the government has already started a fresh audit to its finances, The Peninsula Qatar reported. Monitors from "Torika" are scheduled to start their audit of the Greek economy after meeting with the country"s finance minister. Press sources said, "The main goal is to avoid new (austerity) measures." The audit will determine the release of USD1 billion loan premiums for Greece rescue. Another newspaper source warned that "even one new measure will cause political cracks." The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras insisted that Athens would not adopt any further austerity measures.
