OSN ups its subscriber base

(MENAFN) Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) subscriber base increased by 30 percent after the TV network turned to a more secure network putting an end to piracy, Arabian Business reported. The largest pay TV network in the region switched set-top boxes in homes and deployed better satellite receivers to put a stop to people hacking into its network and getting its services for free, which in turn increased its customer base. The company does not reveal the number of subscribers, but hundreds of thousands of new set-top devices were needed for the switch.
