Kuwait- ABK Elects Two Additional Board Members

(MENAFN- Arab Times) ABK held its ordinary General Assembly Meeting at its Head Office on Saturday 17th August 2013 at 10 am. This General Assembly was held for a specific purpose, which is the election of two additional board members to complete the total number of board members to nine. ABK obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Kuwait for the following nominees: 1) Khaled Abdallah Mohamed Al-Meshari; 2) Prasana Hardicar; 3) Azzam Abdul-Aziz Ibrahim Al-Fulaij. The agenda of the General Assembly Meeting included just one item: "Election of two additional members to the Board of Directors of Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait for the current term of three years (2013 - 2015) to complete the number of the board members to nine." The accumulated voting procedures were carried out as per the Articles of Association of ABK and in the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Kuwait Clearing Co. After counting the tally of votes, the accumulated voting results were as follows: Sr Nominees Total Votes 1- Behbehani Investment Co 514,066,476 (Represented by Prasana Hardicar) 2- Khaled Abdallah Mohamed Al-Meshari 513,797,742 3- Azzam Abdul-Aziz Ibrahim Al-Fulaij 22,470,000 Prasana Hardicar (representative of Behbehani Investment Co), was the first winner, and Mr. Khaled Abdallah Mohamed Al-Meshari was the second winner.
