Siemens to supply power station for LNG project


(MENAFN) Siemens is to provide materials and parts required for a power station which will supply electricity and heat for the Yamal liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Russia, Saudi Gazette reported. Siemens will provide the design, manufacture and factory testing in addition to the delivery, installation and commissioning of nine step-up transformers and eight SGT-800 gas turbines. Russia, in 2010, set a plan to develop production at Yamal Peninsula. The construction of the Yamal LNG is the first project and is expected to have a production capacity of 16 million tonnes.
