Ukraine, China to boost fishery cooperation


(MENAFN) The Ukrainian government said that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Ukraine and China to improve cooperation in the fishery field. The two countries agreed on a joint project for the construction of Sevastopol Marine Fishing Port in southwestern Crimean Peninsula and a fish processing plant, Xinhua reported. Ukraine's Food Supplies Minister, Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, said: "Our common task is to ensure the success of the project given the geographic location of Crimea." In 2012, the European country attracted foreign investments of over USD800 million in agricultural projects and aims to attract USD3 billion worth of projects this year.
