GM to reduce electric car price
(MENAFN) GM is planning to reduce the price of its hybrid Chevrolet Volt by 12.5 percent, Xinhua reported.
The 5,000 dollars shave aims to promote the car's sales. The car's price will be at 34,995 dollars down from 39,995 dollars.
Don Johnson, GM's US Vice President for Chevy Sales, said in a statement:" We have made great strides in reducing costs as we gain experience with electric vehicles and their components."
