Jordan Telecom faces rough time


(MENAFN) Jordan Telecom Group net profit declined by 38.8 percent to reach USD35 million in the first six month of 2013 amid tough competition and rising taxes, reported Xinhua Net. The country's only fixed-line operator also faced a drop in mobile, Internet and fixed-line revenues by 9.5 percent. However, the group's subscriber base reached 4.29 million by June 2013, up 6.5 percent from same period last year.
