Mexican president pledges revolutionizing country's infrastructure


(MENAFN) Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto pledged to enhance the country's infrastructure and that's by injecting USD309 billion, AFP reported. In the context of a speech addressed by Nieto at the historic national palace, he said: "I am convinced that one of the fundamental elements to transform our country is to develop infrastructure throughout the length and width of the national territory." The pledged investments will take place over the next 6 years and will include private and public sector aiming revolutionizing roads, building passenger trains and upgrading the energy sector. The president also added that Mexico will construct and develop 11,800 miles of roads and 230 miles of railways in addition to launching three high-speed trains.
