Boat fire causes 2 deaths in W. Indonesian waters
(MENAFN) On Wednesday, local officials in the Indonesian province of West Kalimantan stated that two people pronounced death after a passenger boat fire erupted Tuesday in the region.
State-news agency Antara quoted the Pontianak Search and Rescue Agency's head Yopi Haryadi as saying that a father and his infant died after the misshape occurred on the Kuala Punggur waters in Kubu Raya district.
A probe has been launched by authorities to detect the cause of the boat that frequently transports people from Sepok Laut village in Sungai Kakap sub-district, Kubu Raya district, according to Haryadi.
