Bridge collapse kills 7 in Cameroon's Massok

(MENAFN) On Sunday, as many as seven people were murdered and 14 more were wounded as a result of a bridge collapse in Massok, a locality in Cameroon's Littoral region, according to local authorities.
Local officials affirmed that the incident occurred early Sunday when a truck with 20 farmers abroad fell from the Masson Song Loulou Bridge as it collapsed. Videos issued by local media showed the bridge broke apart in the middle and fell into the river.
As many as seven farmers were directly killed and the other passengers in the truck were successfully rescued.
The exact reasons behind the incident were not determined yet by the transport ministry officials.
