UAE- School bus catches fire in Sharjah, students safe

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A brave, quick-thinking school bus driver evacuated students after his bus caught fire in Sharjah's Kalba area on Tuesday morning.
Sources at the Ministry of Education media centre informed Khaleej Times that only few students were in the bus when the incident took place.
"The well-trained driver has taken action and save the life of all students unharmed," the source said, adding that another bus was provided to transport the students to school.
The Sharjah Police control room immediately dispatched firefighters, ambulances and paramedics to the site of the incident. The entire area was cordoned off, and the flames were put out using water and foam.
"Water was used to cool down the bus, which was completely gutted in the fire."
A file about the incident was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary investigations.
