Australian man dies in house fire


(MENAFN) A man, aged 50, was pronounced dead in hospital after a blaze ripped through his house in Sydney's inner west.

Police declared that emergency services were dispatched to reports at a duplex on Stanley St in Putney shortly before 4am, and had issued evacuations to the residents in nearby houses.

Fire fighters continued their efforts to extinguish the blaze for about an hour before they have discovered an unresponsive man inside.

The victim, thought to be the only resident of the house, was rushed to the hospital in serious state, however, he died later on.
