Lebanese PM meets with economic bodies' delegation


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri met with a small delegation of economic bodies, headed by Board Chairman Mohamad Choukair, with the prevailing economic situation in the country topping their discussions, NNA reported.

On emerging, Choukair said: "Our meeting with the PM-designate was very positive...PM Hariri is optimistic that the birth of the government will be very close and this optimism reflects on all of us as a private sector, businessmen and investors."

"We believe in this country and are optimistic about it".All we ask as economic bodies and private sector is to have a new government as soon as possible, so that we can begin implementing the various projects initiated by the government, the first of which is the Cedar Conference," Choukair underscored.

"I hope that the optimism we detected yesterday from House Speaker Nabih Berri, and the great optimism of Prime Minister Hariri will translate into a government next week," he concluded.
