BNA's Dir. Gen. starts official visit to Kuwait


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 14 (KUNA) -- Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Director General Ahmad Al-Mannai and his accompanying delegation began an official visit to the country on Saturday at the invitation of the Chairman and Director-General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah.
Al-Mannai told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) upon his arrival that the close relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait are a model of brotherly relations based on a long history of bilateral cooperation at all levels to serve the interests of both countries and peoples under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Al-Mannai expressed his pleasure to be in Kuwait at the kind invitation of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij, hoping that this visit and discussions would constitute an additional link in the march of cooperation and media coordination between the two brotherly countries in light of the increasing media challenges that require that efforts be doubled to meet such challenges.
For his part, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij said in a similar statement he was pleased for this visit by the Director-General of the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) to his second country Kuwait, and for his acceptance of this official invitation, wishing him all the best on his new post.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij said that the visit comes within the framework of mutual visits between the directors-general of the Arab news agencies, and for the sake of activating the terms of the agreements and discussing means of enhancing cooperation between the two agencies. He described both agencies' ties as "strong", noting that there is almost weekly contact between the two agencies and mutual visits at the level of officials as well as in the field of media training.
He pointed out that there are many topics that will be discussed on Sunday in the technical and media domains, which aim to achieve the desired goal.
The delegation accompanying the director general of the Bahrain News Agency includes the editor-in-chief Ali al-Thawadi and news exchange coordinator Ahmed Al-Ansari.(end).
