(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) After Facebook prompted a new software update through Google Play Store, several Android users have reported major problems opening the app.
According to Down Detector, they received hundreds of reports regarding issues with accessing the app. Users complained that a message popped telling them the app had not properly loaded, and that they should try again. However the problem persists even if they followed the message.
An Independent report said several users said have tried to opened the app but it eventually crashed before actually loading up properly. Majority of users don't even reach that point and the app just crashes instantaneously.
Since Android updates apps automatically, many users may not even be aware that they have the latest version of Facebook which is known to cause problems. Android users also discovered that restarting the phone or deleting and re-installing the Facebook also didn't fix the problem.
