Kuwait signs USD80m loan deal with Iraq


(MENAFN) Kuwait has signed an USD80 million loan to Iraq so as to finance the construction of 73 schools in 15 Iraqi provinces which had its infrastructure destroyed during a battle on ISIS.

The amount to be granted to Iraq is one of the results of the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq held in Kuwait.

The loan agreement has been signed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development with Iraq in order to take part in funding the project.

The project also consists of establishing around 73 schools of either 18 or 12 classrooms over 15 governorates in Iraq.
