35 Palestinians injured as Israeli forces attack protesters


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Gaza, July 6 (Petra) -- At least 35 Palestinian protesters were injured by live bullets or sustained suffocation from teargas inhalation on Friday as Israeli occupation forces continued to crack down on the Great March of Return demonstrations at the Gaza-Israel border, according to the Ministry of Health.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudrah, said the forces fired live bullets and rubber-coated steel rounds at the protesters who gathered at many locations along the border, injuring 35 of them, including journalists and medics.

More than 150 Palestinians have been killed and over 14,000 others injured by Israeli forces since the outbreak of the Great March of Return protests at Gaza border on March 30.
