Iran discusses Syria with Austria

(MENAFN) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed on Wednesday that the solution to the crisis in Syria was the core of talks held between Iran and Austria, SANA reported.

"Iran, Russia and Turkey are going ahead in their efforts, within the context of Astana process, to solve the crisis in Syria," President Rouhani said at a press conference with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Vienna.

He said that the main aim of the Iranian presence in Syria was to help fight Daesh and other terrorist organizations, and terrorism was defeated in spite of the support terrorists were receiving from the US and Israel.

The Iranian President reiterated that his country will support Syria until fully eliminating terrorism, saying that Syria's future is determined by the Syrian people.
