Lebanon needs to launch economic reform strategy: president

(MENAFN) National News Agency reported Lebanon's President Michel Aoun to have highlighted the importance of execution the strategy McKinsey & Company has set out for reforming the Lebanese economy.

During a meeting with Economy Minister Raed Khoury, the Lebanese president reportedly stressed "the strategy is very important especially that it provides a coherent and comprehensive study for all productive sectors in the country aimed at reaching sustainable economic development."

President Aoun added "we appreciate all the efforts exerted by the public and private sectors in addition to economists and academics to complete this strategy."

The global management consultancy company has been assigned this year to create a strategy to reform the economy of the country in a USD1.5 million deal.
