Pakistan- Six security personnel martyred in Awaran attack
(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Six officials of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) were martyred and two others were injured in a militant attack in Balochistan on Monday.
Official sources said the BDS officials were inspecting a site situated 30 kilometres away from Mashkay tehsil of Awaran district when they came under rocket attack from nearby mountains. Six personnel were martyred in the attack, while two others were injured.
The slain personnel were identified as Hawaldar Shabbir, and sepoys Shehzad, Bashir, Siraj, Allah Nawaz and Abid, while the injured were identified as sepoys Ehsan and Rashid. The bodies and the injured were shifted to hospital after the incident.
The security forces launched a search operation in the area after the attack. However, there were no reports about any arrest.
