Lebanon's Aoun underlines technology role for sustainable development
(MENAFN) Lebanon's President Michel Aoun highlighted on Wednesday the significance of technology usage in reaching sustainable development in his country as well as in the Arab world.
The statement has been made by the Lebanese president during the 30th ministerial session of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in Beirut.
President Aoun stressed that "we cannot ignore the role of technology in the development process in our Arab region."
Aoun added "we are very much aware of the suffering of Syrian refugees but this is a big burden for Lebanon and we insist on finding the necessary solutions, hoping international community help refugees to return to their homeland very soon."
