India launches blistering attack on Pakistan at the UN

India launched a blistering attack on Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) today, reminding Pakistan that no amount of "empty rhetoric" would change the fact that Kashmir is, and will remain a part of India.
The verbal attack was a response to comments made by Pakistan, earlier this month, in reference to a UN report on alleged human rights violations in Kashmir.

"One delegation has again misused the platform to make an unwarranted reference to the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. J&K is an integral and inalienable part of India. No amount of empty rhetoric by Pakistan will change this reality," said India's Sandeep Kumar Bayyapu.
Pakistan had used the UNHCR report to push its agenda

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) had released a report on the alleged violations, on June 14.
Pakistan had used the report to raise the Kashmir issue on the international forum again, saying the alleged violations in PoK "should in no way be construed to create a false sense of equivalence" with rights violations in Kashmir.
India didn't take kindly to the UNHCR report
India's reaction
Despite the UNCHR report being hailed by Amnesty International, which urged both India and Pakistan to take requisite corrective actions, India didn't take it kindly.
Viewing it as an attack on Indian sovereignty, New Delhi termed the document as "fallacious, tendentious, and motivated" and said that it was "deeply concerned that individual prejudices are being allowed to undermine the credibility of a UN institution".
