Syria blasts US financial aid to White Helmets
(MENAFN) Syria's Foreign Ministry has denounced the latest US move to provide financial aid to "White Helmets", the Syrian Civil Defense group which is recognized as a terror group by the Syrian government.
The US extra financial aid to the group is considered as a clear evidence of the support of Western countries to terrorism in Syria since 2011, as suggested the ministry in a statement SANA published.
The Syrian ministry also claimed that the US and its Western allies have been exploiting the White Helmets for terrorism purposes.
It explained that terrorism to include the alleged chemical attacks that were staged to taint the image of the Syrian government and extend the Syrian war.
