Spain rescues at least 400 migrants off coast
(MENAFN) The national rescue service declared that an average of 418 migrants have been saved in three missions off the coast of Spain.
Salvamento Maritimo confirmed that 262 people on 15 vessels have arrived to safety in the Strait of Gibraltar.
Another 27 were discovered in the Mediterranean between Spain and Morocco as 129 more off the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean.
The missions took place after six days from the arrival of 630 migrants in the Spanish port of Valencia carried on three vessels, with the NGO rescue ship Aquarius among them.
