(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, June 22 (KUNA) -- The European Union's (EU) extra tariffs in response to the US tariffs on steel and aluminium come into force Friday, a spokesman for the European Commission Alexander Winterstein said Friday.
The European Commission last Wednesday adopted the regulation putting in place the European Union's (EU) extra tariffs in response to the US tariffs on steel and aluminium.
The measures will immediately target a list of products worth 2.8 billion euro (USD 3.2 billion), Winterstein told a news conference.
The list of US imports that will now face an extra duty at the EU border includes steel and aluminium products, agricultural goods and a combination of various other products. (end) nk.mt
