Iran's petrochemical exports reach USD2.229bn


(MENAFN) Iran has reportedly made 3,646,000 tons of petrochemicals exports at a value of worth USD2.229 billion during the two months ending May 21.

The figures have been shown in a report released by the National Iranian Petrochemical Company, as IRNA reported.

Iran's exports to the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone have amounted for 1,809,000 tons worth USD1.112 billion, with 1,080,000 tons valued at USD630 million exported to the Mahshahr Petrochemical Special Economic Zone.

Exports of other petrochemical facilities were also shown to have amounted to 756,000 tons at a worth of USD486.65 million.

The total production of petrochemical units stood at more than 8,710,000 tons in the two-month cycle.
