(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Hafiz Kaleem hammered a quick-fire 93 as Phoenix Medicines handed Mir a huge 147-run defeat to clinch the 9th Al Dhaid Ramadan Cup 2018, organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council.

Put in to bat first, Phoenix Medicines made a fine start with Rohan Mustafa (25, 15b, 2x4, 2x6) and Hafiz Kaleem adding 79 runs for the first wicket.

Kaleem was joined by M Wasim and the duo again put on 86 runs for the second wicket to put Phoenix Medicines in a great position. While M Wasim faced 38 balls to hammer 73 supported by six boundaries and five sixes, Hafiz Kaleem hit a 38-ball 93 including seven hits to the fence and nine over it.

Some small contributions from the middle order meant Phoenix Medicines posted a superb 263 for eight in 20 overs.

Chasing Mir found the going tough as Mir collapsed to 116 in 12.3 overs.

Taswar Ali, Rohan Mustafa and Tahir Lateef all claimed two wickets each for the winners.
