Dubai's RTA endorses Expo 2020 bus stations' final design


(MENAFN) Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) was announced to have approved of the final design of public bus stations that is being established for Expo2020.

In its statement, RTA said that an overall of 14 bus stations for passengers are to be built along with one bus depot at Al Quoz.

"The construction of bus stations complements RTA's efforts to improve the infrastructure of mass transit systems with the aim of encouraging people to use public transport in their daily travels," as stated director-general and chairman of the board of executive directors Mattar Al Tayer.

Al Tayer added "it is also part of RTA's master plan for addressing the needs of hosting Expo2020 in Dubai, and ensuring safe and smooth transport for main Expo activities and related events."
