UAE- RAK police runs mass Iftar with Saqr hospital staff

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The community police here in Ras Al Khaimah has run a mass Iftar for the medical, technical, and administrative cadres of the Saqr hospital.

The move recognises the tireless efforts of the hospital duty staff, said First Lieutenant Moza Al Khaburi, director of community programmes at the RAK community police.

"The move, in line with the Year of Zayed, is also aimed to promote the spirit of giving in the holy month of Ramadan." Many of the staffers could not help ending their Iftar on duty while serving patients and emergency cases, she noted.

Hessa Said, deputy chairperson of the RAK Sports & Cultural Club, said they cooperated with the RAK Police in running the mass Iftar. "This is part a series of charity initiatives the Club runs in the Year of Zayed and the holy month of Ramadan," she said. "We simply want to say 'thank you' to them."

A group of female volunteers and members of the club participated in the event. "It is good to live the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan and spread solidarity and compassion everywhere," Said said.
