King Abdullah II grateful for Gulf states' support


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, June 9 (KUNA) -- King Abdullah II on Saturday expressed gratitude for the support demonstrated by the State of Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for his nation.
Royal Court in a statement affirmed the Monarch participation in the Makkah meeting, called by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The meeting, to be held in Holy Makkah On Sunday, is dedicated for discussing support for the Kingdom of Jordan.
King Abdullah affirmed depth of the brotherly and strategic relations bonding Jordan with the Kingdom and the other sisterly Arab states that have always hurried for backing Jordan in various circumstances.
Riyadh had declared that the meeting would be held to discuss means of aiding Jordan tackle the current economic crisis.
Jordan has recently witnessed wide-spread protests at new taxes, amid deepening economic crisis. (end) ab.rk
