DOHA: In collaboration with QRCS, Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Social Services Department organised Iftar events on May 24 and 31 for patients and workers at Hamad General Hospital (HGH).
Hayfa Al Hajri, Acting Executive Director of HMC's Department of Social Services, said volunteers from the Qatar Red Crescent Society visited Hamad General Hospital on Thursday (May 24) and distributed 150 Iftar meals to hospital workers who were on duty during that time.
The Qatar Red Crescent team visited the hospital again on 31 May, joined by a delegation from Deutsche Bank, and distributed an additional 150 Iftar meals to inpatients on the Orthopedics, Trauma, and Surgery Wards, as well as to the attending nursing teams.
'HMC, through cooperation with its key partners, is doing its utmost to serve the local community by supporting labourers and other employees and extending help to those in our community who are less fortunate. We wanted to bring the joy and spirit of Ramadan to our employees, and at the same time foster a culture of sharing among staff, said Al Hajri.
