Qatar- QC offers Iftar meals to 1,000 Bangladeshi expatriates

DOHA: Around 1,000 fasting people from Bangladeshi expatriate community attended mass Iftar progarmme organized by Qatar Charity (QC) as part of its 'Baraha program, which is aimed at enhancing cooperation, cohesion and solidarity among the community members, especially in the holy month of Ramadan. The community Iftar program also included a number of activities and competitions, said a release.

This large Iftar table and associated programs were organized at the Qatar Sports Club under the supervision of the Friends Cultural Center, one of the Qatar Charity Centers for Community Development, in coordination and cooperation with the Bangladesh Quran Sunnah Parishad.

The participants interacted with the Baraha program, which also included speeches delivered by some preachers in an atmosphere that supports brotherliness between the members of the community, encourages the exchange of views and ideas, promotes human values and strengthens the bonds of compassion.

The community members thanked Qatar Charity and philanthropists of Qatar for supporting their Iftar program, associated activities and events. They also underlined the importance of continuation of organizing various events and activities that enhance cooperation between Muslim communities in general and in Ramadan in particular. They hoped more cooperation and partnership between the Bangladeshi community residing in the country and Qatar Charity.
