Kuwait condemns terrorist attack in Belgium
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwait fiercely condemns and denounces the terrorist act that took place yesterday at the Belgian city of Liege, whereby two police officers and a civilian were shot dead, a Foreign Ministry source said on Wednesday.
The incident also led to another four police officers being wounded after being shot by a man.
Kuwait stands by Belgium and supports the procedures it is taking to tackle violence and terrorism and maintain its security and stability, the senior source was quoted by the ministry as saying in a statement.
The source also expressed Kuwait's unwavering stance in opposition to violence and terrorism in all its forms, saying it calls for further global efforts to eradicate this dangerous phenomenon.
Kuwait expresses its condolences to the families of the victims, wishing them a speedy recovery. (end) amh.sd
