Oman- More than 30,000 citizens recruited

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) announced on Tuesday the appointment of 30,305 citizens in different governorates of Oman. The recruitments were done between December 3, 2017 to May 21, 2018.

This is part of the ministry's effort to provide opportunities for job seekers as approved by the Council of Ministers. The number of males recruited were 20,654 while the number of females stood at 9,651. Of these, 14,321 recruited had qualification less than general education diploma and 10,427 had general education diploma.

The number of university degree holders and university graduates stood at 5,557. Sectors such as construction, wholesale, retail and manufacturing continued to witness the highest recruitment percentage. While construction sector recruited the highest with 31.8 per cent, wholesale and retail trade stood at 14.8 per cent, followed by manufacturing sector at 13.2 per cent.

Names of candidates selected for interviews will be announced on Thursday and the interviews will be held next week.
